You will probably be working as a highly practical Laboratory Technician with previous experience and now seeking a highly professional, progressive and innovative employer to develop your career within.

It is likely you will have undertaken some form of mechanical, scientific qualifications (or vocational apprenticeship)
As a Laboratory Technician, you will specialise in metal quality assessment with the capability to conduct customer plant process reviews, benchmark customer metal quality, and provide technical services along with material analysis.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
* The key function of the Laboratory Technician is to support sales efforts by providing metallurgical or material research and analysis to the global groups. You will also provide technical services for various in-house research and development projects as well as production trouble-shooting when required.
* You will primarily be tasked to provide timely sample preparation, polishing and analysis of a wide range of metal and ceramic materials including aluminium, steel, zinc and refractory samples.
* This will require attention to detail, a methodical approach to work and the ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
