Accounts Assistant

An established family run business with 4 sites across the UK. Based out of our Northamptonshire site, we are looking for an Accounts Assistant to focus on our Purchase Ledger to bolster the busy Finance team and support our finance management structure.
 
BASIC SALARY: £24,000 – £30,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Accounts Payable, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk – Food / FMCG
 
The primary focus of this Accounts Assistant role is to support the overall Finance function with a focus on Purchase Ledger activity.
 
Key elements of the role will be:
· Speaking to Suppliers and setting them up on the system
· Invoice entry/invoice approval
· BACS payments
· Daily control reports
· General filing, invoice entry and daily control reports
· Goods-in reports
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Accounts Payable, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk – Food / FMCG
 
Ideally, as an Accounts Assistant, you will be experienced in accounts payable and have worked in a manufacturing environment. However, experienced Finance Administrators with exposure to any industry or business who wish to develop their skills and use their exceptional attention to detail in a different role will be considered.
 
We would be delighted to receive applications from Finance professionals with experience of working in a manufacturing business.  
 
We would also be keen to receive applications from candidates with a strong interest in general finance and administration with experience in Purchase Ledger, Credit control, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Invoicing, Financial Management and strong experience in general administration.
 
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT: Accounts Payable, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk – Food / FMCG
 
Extensive training will be given in all aspects of our products, current suppliers, and contracts.
