Area Sales Manager - Northern Germany

We are one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of consumable solutions and have a fabulous opportunity for an up and coming ambitious Sales Account Manager to work with our Technical Dealers, Mail Order, Office Catalogue and Janitorial Dealer Channels throughout Southern Germany. Candidates must be native German with good fluency in English

SALARY: €60,000

JOB SPECIFICATION: Area Sales Manager - Based Northern Germany

  • Nurture, manage, motivate and support our existing relationships and partnerships with c500 buying clients including a network of Technical Dealers such as Keller & Kalmbach and Reiff.
  • Actively lead the targeting and development of new distributors, mail order clients and buying groups within existing industrial channels.
  • Seek out new channels to develop product penetration: janitorial, office, veterinary, equine & garage supplies markets.
  • Support and accompany the technical dealer’s sales force when pitching to major potential end users.
  • Work with marketing to build propositions and marketing materials for presentations, exhibitions and trade shows.
  • Create appropriate incentive plans to drive sales through the distributor channel.
  • Create a sales activity plan to support the tactical objectives of the business plan.

REQUIREMENTS: Area Sales Manager - Based Northern Germany

  • Experience of selling to or account managing a B2B distribution network (any consumables market: for example Technical, Industrial, Stationary, Janitorial, Office Supplies or Garage).
  • Warm & engaging with a sense of humour
  • Confidence to engage with everyone from owner MD’s to multi-national companies with large sales teams.
  • Natural presentation skills, enjoys getting involved in exhibitions and trade shows.
  • Happy to stay away on a regular basis as the territory is the whole of Southern Germany
  • Autonomous self-starter, with strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent negotiator, able to communicate at all levels
  • Fluency, both written and oral in German and English

Internal Account Managers with a strong desire to move into the external sales will be considered

The Opportunity:

As a result of strategic changes within the German region we now have a fabulous opportunity for a talented, dynamic and ambitious Sales Account Manager to take responsibility for developing our existing technical dealer/distribution network and mail order clients, as well as seeking out new opportunities in Southern Germany.

You will be joining our existing team, based in Monchengladbach and will receive full product training at our European Headquarters based in the UK.
