A Bids & Tenders Manager required to prepare bids & tenders for the supply of specialist commercial vehicles to local authorities, utilities and private sector contractors for one of the UK’s leading commercial fleet management companies.
SALARY: £30,000 - £35,000

JOB SPECIFICATION: Bids & Tenders Manager
Reporting to the Commercial Director you will be responsible for (but not exclusively):
·The preparation and management of formal bid documentation submitted to Local Authorities, Utilities and large private sector contractors.
·Working with the management and business development teams to identify viable bidding opportunities
·Managing multiple concurrent complex bids and tenders
·Compiling, co-ordinating and reviewing proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, ensuring the final response is compelling, consistent, compliant and clear, and that the submission reads with a “common voice”
·Understand and organise company governance data (finance, quality, health and safety, HR, risk, partnering) to ensure pre-qualification and bid submissions are efficiently prepared and successfully presented
·Produce the quality/technical documentation, in accordance with the clients’ requirements, and to a standard which results in as high a quality evaluation mark as possible, in conjunction with as competitive a price as possible
REQUIREMENTS: Bids & Tenders Manager

·Are experienced in producing high quality written and graphical sales/tender documentation
·Have the ability to work to tight deadlines, responding to urgent needs with composure and efficiency
·Have advanced experience of using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
·Is both motivated and enthusiastic, with professional appearance and manner
·Is self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload
In addition, any of the following would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite. Experience of:
·The vehicle rental / lease / maintenance market
·Working with local authorities
