Business Development Manager

You’ll use your sales experience, from within the Glass Manufacturing sector as a Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Engineer, to sell our market leading range of specialist machinery.  You’ll be given over 400 pre-spending accounts, covering the UK and the ability to earn uncapped bonus from day one.  This is an opportunity not to be missed.     
 
BASIC SALARY: Up to £40,000 depending on experience

LOCATION: Covering the UK you’ll ideally be based in the Midlands which could include: Northampton, Daventry, Rugby, Coventry, Hinckley, Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent, Cannock, Derby, Leicester, Nottingham, Corby, Kettering, Banbury, Brackley, Towcester, Leamington Spa, Market Harborough, Burton upon Trent.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION:
 
You’ll be selling our range of specialist glass working machinery to clients throughout the UK.  To start, you’ll be given over 400 pre-existing accounts to engage with and build while you simultaneously seek out and win new business.   
 
You’ll be presenting a huge range of market leading solutions covering:
 
· Drilling & milling / grinding and polishing
· Cutting / edge grinding,
· Water jet & CNC work centres
· Vertical work centres to fully integrated production lines.
 
It’s a big role, covering a large territory, so it’s vital that you have excellent planning abilities in order to manage your time and achieve your sales targets.  
 
With deal values ranging anywhere from £50,000 – £250,000 you’ll need to use all of your consultative selling skills to provide clients with best advice and make sure they are making the right capital investment.  
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
 
It’s essential that you have experience of selling within the Glass Manufacturing sector and are able to bring your technical sales skills to this role.  
 
In addition, you’ll be used to working from home, planning your activity efficiently to maximise your time and enjoy the autonomy to run your week as you see fit.  You’ll also be comfortable spending occasional night away from home.  
 
Above all, you’ll be a great relationship builder, have a genuine interest in engineering technology and thrive in a target driven environment where the rewards really are fantastic.
