BASIC SALARY: £35,000 – £40,000

LOCATION: You’ll be home based, ideally in or around Glasgow or Edinburgh, but you could live anywhere in the M8 / M9 / M80 triangle – Broxburn, Livingston, Bathgate, Whitburn, Linlithgow, Falkirk, Cumbernauld or anywhere in between.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Technical Sales Manager – equipment hire, plant hire, capital equipment, conveying solutions.
As our Business Development Manager / Sales Manager, you will be working from home, covering the Scotland and Ireland. You’ll use your experience of selling and/or hiring high value capital equipment to position our bespoke material conveying solutions to prospective clients.
Our solutions can be mobile or embedded permanently into a client’s facility. They are typically sold on long-term contract hire or purchased outright. Either way, you’ll be self-generating leads or following up on interest from our highly focussed marketing campaigns and:
· Meet with 2/3 clients per day
· Complete site surveys to generate accurate quotations
· Advise clients on the best solution to meet their requirements
· Follow up on presented quotes and close sales
This is a solution sell, so you MUST be able to demonstrate your ability to convert leads into high value sales and develop (up-sell and cross sell) existing accounts.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Technical Sales Manager – equipment hire, plant hire, capital equipment, conveying solutions.
You MUST have a proven track record of success in the hire and/or sales of either plant, machinery, capital equipment or high value, technical solutions.
Although not essential it’s likely that, you’ll have sold to:
· Mining / quarrying
· Cement & Concrete Manufacturers
· Steel & Foundry Sites
· Bulk & Mineral Storage and Transportation hubs
· Power Generation Facilities/ Energy from waste (EFW)
· Building Materials production, eg Brickworks
· Recycling facilities
You will need to be highly self-motivated, with excellent planning skills and capable of building long-term relationships, built on service excellence.
