We are a fast-growing, Southern based, specialist signage manufacturer with a host of prestigious accounts. We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager, with a track record of closing high value, new business sales (not necessarily signage related) to large retailers, major building contractors or architect / specifier sectors.
SALARY: £50,000 - £60,000 Basic
· Uncapped Commission
· Car / Car Allowance
· 20 Days Holiday plus all Bank Holidays
LOCATION: Home based, covering the South UK but with the opportunity to work with clients throughout the UK and with regular visits to our offices near Hastings.
You could be based in ANY of the following locations: Hastings, Eastbourne, Brighton, Worthing, Horsham, Crawley, Leatherhead, Epsom, Croydon, London, Enfield, St Albans, High Wycombe, Reading, Dartford, Basildon, Brentwood, Rochester, Maidstone, Ashford, Royal Tonbridge Wells, Woking, Slough, Watford.
This is a fantastic opportunity to either consolidate your existing new business, high value, signage sales experience or to use your market sector contacts in the large retailer, major building contractor or architect / specifier verticals and ultimately become our Head of Sales as you help us grow.
We already have lucrative bespoke signage contracts within the rail industry but like you, we’re ambitious and determined, so we’re expanding our market leading services into the Major Multiple Retailers, large Construction Contractors and prestigious Architect / Specifier sector.
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager to find and win new business. Although you’ll be living in the South (our HQ is in Hastings and we’d like to see you now and then) you’re not restricted on where you go to sell, the whole of the UK is your playground; if it’s a sound commercial opportunity we’ll support you to win it.
To be considered for the role, you MUST:
· Demonstrate a proven track record of high value sales to either the Major Multiple Retailers, large Construction Contractors and prestigious Architect / Specifier verticals (your typical annual new business sales revenue should be in the £300k - £400k range).
· Be used to generating your own leads and closing business with high level decision-makers across all corporate structures.
· Be an excellent planner – able to create and deliver a sales plan with all of the necessary daily, weekly and monthly reporting that goes along with a highly autonomous role.
Any experience of finding and winning bids and tenders is also highly desirable.
