SALARY: £30,000 - £40,000 Basic

JOB PROFILE: Electrical Engineer / Service Engineer
We are a world leading manufacturer of aluminium extrusions, exporting product all over the globe. Our manufacturing facilities are second to none and we boast some the of the UK’s largest extrusion presses. With increasing product demand putting pressure on our manufacturing environment, we are investing in new plant equipment while ensuring our existing kit is maintained to the highest standards. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to add to the team and give us even greater capacity.
The Electrical Engineer / Service Engineer will report to the Engineering Team Leader and work as part of a team of three Maintenance / Service engineers per shift.
Electrical Engineer / Service Engineer working hours will be:
40 hours / week, 3 shifts: 6-2 / 2-10 / 10-6, Mon-Fri with weekly rotation. Typically 12- 20 hours per month overtime available.
As the Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for:
·Managing the completion of ongoing PPM’s, in addition to any emergency or unforeseen breakdowns.
·The planning, installation, testing, operation, maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment and facilities.
·On-going Continuous Improvement of the site.
We take Health & Safety extremely seriously so you will also be expected to maintain our high standards, being responsible for yourself and your colleagues.
The work level and load varies regularly so we expect the Electrical Engineer to demonstrate a flexible, creative approach to problems & troubleshooting.
PERSONAL PROFILE: Electrical Engineer
You MUST be a qualified Electrical Engineer OR a Multi-skilled Engineer with a 60% electrical bias and have a solid knowledge of Motors, Gearboxes and Hydraulic systems.
Any exposure to PLC’s (preferably Schneider) would be ideal but not essential – I/O signal fault finding skills would be an advantage.
Due to the nature of the work the Electrical Engineer / Service Engineer should be physically fit and prepared to work in a demanding heavy engineering / industrial engineering environment.
Previous experience from an Industrial Engineering maintenance environment is required and heavy plant equipment knowledge is ideal but not essential.
