We are seeking applications from a wide variety of experienced Field Sales Engineer backgrounds, within any of the following: capital equipment, capital solutions, materials or components (solutions).
You will be a solution-based Technical / Industrial Field Sales Engineer - Aluminium Components, Metallurgy Solutions and Capital Equipment, with specific experience of developing solution sales of unique products customised to customers' applications.
Preferably you will possess a technical or scientific degree.
SALARY: £50,000 - £65,000

JOB SPECIFICATION: Technical / Industrial Field Sales Engineer - Aluminium Components, Metallurgy Solutions and Capital Equipment
Home-based in England, you will manage a territory covering the entire UK.
You will sell a mixture of premium brand capital equipment and materials to existing and new customers in the Aluminium industry. Overall you will be encouraged to immerse yourself in our organisation in a practical and entrepreneurial way. Free-thinking is actively encouraged and this will enable you to benefit from having the autonomy to deliver creative sales solutions.
As the Field Sales Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include:
· Create and own business plan to develop & grow sales within the Aluminium sector
· This is not a cold-calling role, since we are very established within our customer base and the target list is defined
· Key account development (50%) and new business development (50%)
· Managing a diverse client mix, from automotive manufacturers though to aluminium cast houses and foundries.
· You will spend a minimum of 3 days a week on the road, with 2 days approx. at your home-office, preparing quotations, generating appointments and answering technical queries.
· Lead times from 3 weeks to 8 months and longer.
· Dealing with 20-30 different customer decision-makers and influencers.
· To deliver consistent annual double-digit growth
· Occasionally attend sales meetings and conferences in the UK and Internationally.
