We are a privately owned luxury SME within the building and construction market. Originally set up by two entrepreneurs with a passion for style and turning dreams into a reality. To continue our growth and strategy, we are looking for a General Manager with the right balance of zest, desire / spirit and aptitude to drive our business forward expanding our footprint. With a prestigious heritage of providing and installing high end luxury products to the home, building and construction markets, we have built a strong clientèle ranging from Architects, Interior Designers, Developers and Private Retail customers. Operating across London and the Home Counties, our focus has always been on providing the highest quality of products aligned with a personalised professional service; resulting in an unrivalled reputation.
GENERAL MANAGER ROLE:
With our Managing Director stepping into a Chairman role, we are looking for a ‘hands on’ leader with the vigour and aptitude to take on the full operational management of the business, maximising profit and commercial growth, whilst leading our loyal and passionate team. You will have an entrepreneurial flair, hands on attitude, be able to move effectively within a diverse environment and be just as comfortable communicating with Business Directors and Private Customers.
Ideally, you will already have the exposure in running a SME / privately managed business, understanding the intricacies of being flexible to support all functions effectively with a good technical aptitude. This could be as an owner / Managing Director / General Manager or Senior Manager.
You will thrive on the variety from organising our installation teams, supporting Trade and Retail customers, creating & implementing our business strategy; to exploring technical briefs with Architects and Interior Designers whilst having a commercial eye on remaining competitive and maximising profit.
You will have the capability of completing all of the above with a smile and have an infectious personality to lead, motivate and drive our team of circa 25 across Operations, Sales, Finance and Marketing functions.
Preferably you will have a technical understanding gained from a Construction, Architecture, Design or Engineering background such as: HVAC, HETAS, Structural, Gas, Lift & Access, refurbishment or Cladding although not essential.
