JOB SPECIFICATION - Internal Sales Engineer
This varied and interesting Internal Sales Engineer role will involve developing sales mainly to distributors all over the world. Mainly reactive sales dealing with incoming enquiries and leads from the website in which they have invested heavily, and other marketing generated leads. Usually this will be a distributor with an enquiry from an end user customer of theirs.The role will involve giving technical advice and support, generating quotes, doing all the associated admin, follow up and reporting. Getting sufficient information from the distributor to make as good a recommendation on the correct equipment for the application to be able to win the order is important, so any experience in managing relationships with the distributors will help. There will be occasional in- house visits from customers and presentations
There could be a more proactive sales aspect to the role depending on how it goes, and the candidate’s ambitions.
REQUIREMENTS - Internal Sales Engineer
To be considered for this Internal Sales Engineer role you will need experience in a similar internal, or possibly field sales engineer role ideally in capital equipment, but could be component or technical consumable. Any experience selling to distributors and export/ international sales would be much preferable. You must have a good engineering background, knowledge and understanding. You will have excellent communications skills, spoken and written as there will be a lot of communication with customers in the role. Also excellent attention to detail. Any languages would be advantageous.
