JOB SPECIFICATION: Business Development Manager - German Speaking
This is a challenging Business Development role where you will be selling via an established distributor network. This is a standalone role selling exclusively into our distribution network. The role includes high levels of autonomy and your main responsibilities will be;
·Developing New Business 60% – Maximising relationships, understanding technical requirements and generating additional revenue streams from existing distributors along with a key emphasis on developing new distribution channels
·Account Management 40% – The management of around 30 existing and well established industrial distributors across Germany and Austria
·Attending client meetings - Supporting distribution partners in Germany and Austria as the product expert
·Regular travel - Spending regular time in Germany and Austria meeting with distributors and end users, potentially one to two weeks per month.
REQUIREMENTS: Business Development Manager – German Speaking
·We would be delighted to receive applications from ambitious and hungry new business or sales specialists who are fluent in business German and who have experience of distributor sales and account management.
·We would also like to hear from progressive sales professionals who have worked in or are currently working in the adhesive market who are looking to develop their career.
·We would equally be interested in receiving applications from existing Sales Executives / Account Managers working within resins, coatings, chemical manufacturing, gel coats or paints.
As an independent manufacturer who is looking to grow, we have complete control over every stage in our operations; from the formulation of our own specialist adhesives by our in-house chemists, right through the coating process and on to how the finished products are converted and despatched.

It is highly likely that you would have undertaken one of the following roles: National Account Manager, Technical Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Territory Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Sales Account Manager, Territory Sales Executive, Sales Manager, Field Sales Manager, Distribution Sales Manager or Industrial Sales Manager.
Ideally you will also have some experience or exposure to the following markets or consumable products: adhesives, lubricants, abrasives, tools, adhesives tapes, cutting tools, welding and soldering, construction, industrial consumables, automotive, adhesives and sealants.
