Maintenance Engineer

A rare opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Process Engineer / Instrumentation Engineer to work flexi-time, days only, Monday-Friday implementing continuous improvement processes across our Luton plant.

SALARY: Up to £30,000

JOB SPECIFICATION: Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Process Engineer / Instrumentation Engineer

Our services are used, almost exclusively by many F1 teams, because of the high quality of our work. This is an excellent opportunity to build your skills as you will receive training in all technical areas as well as in problem solving and trouble shooting. You will also have the opportunity use unique instrumentation and software.

This Process Engineering role has been created to provide Continuous Improvement Process support across our Quality, Maintenance and Technical teams.

You will carry out a range of daily, weekly, monthly and yearly tasks, covering:
· Equipment calibration function
· Temperature Uniformity Surveys
· System Accuracy Testing, including calibrations and thermocouple replacement
· Develop our maintenance system to minimise downtime and improve information accuracy.

You will also be involved in the planning and optimisation of PPM scheduling and supporting on customer site visits.

REQUIREMENTS: Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Process Engineer / Instrumentation Engineer

You MUST have a maintenance or engineering track record, ideally from Automotive, Aerospace, Oil or Gas but other industrial / engineering experience would be acceptable.

You should be able to demonstrate your ability to interpret engineering specifications, drawings and standards (further training will be provided to grow your knowledge).

Experience of continuous improvement / auditing would be highly advantageous but key to the role is the right attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.

You must be willing to spend a minimum of 60% of your time on the shop floor.
