Are you a Mechanical Engineer with a Field Service or Maintenance background? We’re looking to add to our experienced and friendly team at our established production site in Northamptonshire. You’ll split your time between planned, scheduled and reactive maintenance and no day will be the same!
BASIC SALARY: Up to £45,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Mechanical Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer – Food manufacturing
Working on a busy manufacturing site that operates 24/7, this Monday to Friday Mechanical Engineer role will see you involved in a wide range of activities including:
· 75% reaction maintenance / 25% planned & scheduled maintenance.
· Provide specialised assistance with maintenance repair issues.
· Inspect machines / components and replace / repair kit where necessary.
· Manage small projects.
You’ll also get involved in new systems integrations, machine upgrades and ensuring everything is operational, from a health and safety perspective.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Mechanical Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer – Food manufacturing
You’re a Mechanical Engineer, Service Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer. You might be a Field Service Engineer, looking to move to a single site role or a Single Site Maintenance Engineer or Technician.
We would welcome applications, regardless of whether you have a recognised qualification, such as BTEC, C&G or NVQ Level 3 or if you’re qualified by experience or come through the apprenticeship route.
However, you’ve gained your experience the following would be an advantage:
· Experience servicing and repairing a diverse range of production plant systems including conveyors, elevators, sieves, grinders, ancillary services, and a variety of process equipment.
· Experience of flour or feed milling, and medium / heavy industrial plant systems, along with boilers, compressors, and sprinkler systems.
· Excellent problem solving and fault-finding skills.
You’ll also have a great work ethic and be happy to get stuck in wherever you’re needed.
