Production Engineer

JOB SPECIFICATION: Production Engineer

This is a Process Engineer / Production Engineer role to identify, prioritise and implement Lean/Continuous Improvement projects to improve Health, Safety, Quality and Productivity around the manufacturing and distribution facility and implement new products into production.

The manufacturing facilities comprise a mix of modern manufacturing practices through to legacy systems, offering huge potential for improvement and interest. Projects will be varied comprising cellular manufacturing for light product assembly, CNC manufacturing of components, through to the fabrication of heavy engineered products.

REQUIREMENTS: Production Engineer

  • You will have a proven track record as a Process Engineer / Production Engineer, competent in the use of Lean/Continuous Improvement techniques and know when and how to use them.
  • You will have Ideally worked for a components manufacturer &/or have cellular assembly experience.
  • You will be educated to HNC minimum but ideally to HND / Degree level in an engineering or relevant technical subject.

Specific experience of Programming robots, Modifying PLC programs and/or Robot handling / vision detection would be advantageous but is not essential.
