THE OPPORTUNITY – Regional Sales Manager – Gift Industry
Due to career advancement of our long-term UK Sales Manager, we are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to manage our team of 10 external Sales Agents based around the UK as well as personally take responsibility for Identifying and developing new major accounts across varied market sectors including Retailers, Garden Centre’s and Wholesale.
As the Regional Sales Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing our Independent and Regional Account business across Giftware, Garden Centre, Retail and Wholesaler routes. You will work closely with the UK Sales Manager and devise the UK sales strategy and growth of this established and well-known brand.
The Directors and manufacturing plant is based in Italy, so there will be some overseas travel.
You will be joining us at an exciting time as we have just relaunched exciting new products and new ranges. We have identified there is a real opportunity to grow our independent – Regional Accounts and bring in new business.
You will be given all the resources and marketing material to assist you.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED – Regional Sales Manager
We are keen to find an energetic and enthusiastic Regional Sales Manager. It is imperative you are knowledgeable of the Gift Industry; such as Luxury Gifts, Homeware, Greeting Cards, Toiletries, Stationary and similar lines. You will also need to have the natural ability and leadership skills to manage remote sales teams.
OUR REGIONAL SALES MANAGER WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
·Able to create and prepare presentations and sales pitches.
·Attend and network at trade shows.
·Compile costing and stock proposals to meet buying schedules.
·Manage and monitor the performance of your sales agents.
·Analyse buying and selling trends across the regions and use data to set targets and forecasts.
·Proactively support your external team of sales agents with product training and sales concepts.
·Support and input ideas to NPD and business strategy.
It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following types of roles – Regional Sales Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Manager, Account Manager, Sales Consultant,
It would be advantageous to have worked in the following industry sectors; Luxury Gifts, Homeware, Greeting Cards, Toiletries, Stationary and similar lines within impulse buys or gifts.
