JOB SPECIFICATION: Sales Director Designate - Capital Equipment / Instrumentation

Selling scientific measuring equipment to the food packaging industry, they need your vision and sales experience, to help secure an even larger market share and maximise the impact of the new online quality assurance and waste saving products they have in development.

Working in parallel with the Managing Director, as you build your market and technical knowledge, you’ll be identifying and converting key customers, through on site visits, trials and negotiations at engineering, senior manager and board director level.

In this both hands-on and strategic role, you will be making a primary contribution to our ongoing and future sales, budgeting, forecasting and marketing plans, as well as strengthening our long term relationships and growth within key food related companies, corporate groups and market sectors.

REQUIREMENTS: Sales Director Designate - Capital Equipment / Instrumentation

· Successful track record in all aspects of sales, business development and financial planning, within a technical or scientific environment
· Bright, engaged and entrepreneurial outlook
· Clarity to successfully develop and expand long term relationships with customers
· Proven leadership skills
· Lateral thinker, strategic planner, long term goal setter
· Experience of working closely with international, principal suppliers
· Computer literate and competent with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
· Current driving license & the unrestricted ability to travel within UK and occasionally abroad.
