Global manufacturing Business requires an experienced Sales Manager to manage a European Sales team of 5 across Europe selling to the Automotive OEM Tier 1/2, Transportation, and General Industrial OEM markets.
BASIC SALARY: £85,000 – £95,000

LOCATION: This is a home based role, so the ideal location for the successful candidates would be central / near to major transport routes / airports.
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Birmingham, London, Leeds, Bristol, Manchester
JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Manager : Industrial Consumables – Automotive
This is a strategically critical role within a global business supplying technical solutions and products to the Automotive tier 1/2 transportation and general OEM markets. This role will see you managing a team of 5 and a sales budget of c$20million, therefore the position requires a strong commercially focused leader who effortlessly combines a solid technical appreciation with a strong business awareness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales Manager : Industrial Consumables – Automotive

Develop and grow sustainable revenues and market share
Lead and develop your European Sales team, helping them to grow business within existing accounts, and identify, qualify and develop new, profitable long term business opportunities with new customers
Implement the plans and strategies of the Group across Europe
Develop the division’s ability to meet customer or market needs with a product, service or solution. Understand and positively react to the voice of the customer and their respective market
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Sales Manager : Industrial Consumables – Automotive
We would be delighted to receive applications from individuals who:
Are degree qualified in Engineering or related technical field. Chemical Engineering would be of particular interest, but not essential
Experienced Sales Managers with a proven track record of managing a team of Sales Engineers / Sales Account Managers (preferably across international borders) who currently sell to any of the following markets – automotive OEM tier 1/2, transportation and general industrial OEM markets
Have a good understanding of the transportation, automotive tier 1/2 andgGeneral OEM markets
Will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with both distribution and OEM’s
Products wise, have sold technical products, specialised components or sub-systems; we are open in terms of product experience as long as your current sell is specification based and project led
