JOB DESCRIPTION: Supply Chain Manager - Pharmaceuticals

Product: Generic pharmaceutical products to include tablets, capsules, and injectables. We have an established product portfolio, with new products being regularly developed and manufactured globally and then launched all across Europe to make this role even more challenging for you.

Markets supplied: Hospitals, retail wholesalers and pharmacies across the UK and Europe.

Job: This is a brand-new role which has come about through a restructure and planned business growth.

Reporting into the Commercial Director for Europe, this role holds full autonomy and strategic responsibility for the overall Supply Chain from global manufacturing sites through to distribution to the UK hub and then on to their respective European subsidiaries for distribution to customers. Our Supply Chain is already in place, your role is to strategically develop our supply-chain strategy as the business moves forwards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supply Chain Manager - Pharmaceuticals

This is a strategic standalone role with Director level reporting and accountability. Key responsibilities include:
· Demand Planning / Forecasting
· Internal and external stakeholder management
· Liaising with different suppliers based in EU, India, China, US
· S & OP (Sales and Operations Planning)
· Daily reporting and accountability through the SAP system
· Problem solving and resolving supply chain related issues
· Analysing performance data and looking for strategic supply chain improvements
· Improving Stock management and Optimising our Inventory

Please note there are currently no direct reports / management responsibility in this role - but this may change as the role evolves.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Supply Chain Manager - Pharmaceuticals

· Proven experience in a strategic Supply Chain Management role within pharmaceutical manufacturing
· Experience of an SAP system
· Whilst a degree or specific certifications such as CIPS, CPIM CSCP or CLTD are preferred, relevant experience with supersede them

Generic Pharmaceutical experience is preferred over branded pharmaceutical experience due to the demand driven supply-chain, though we welcome applications from either.

Experience of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Launch Management within the supply chain would also be of benefit.
