Technical Service Engineer

LOCATION: Coventry – The successful candidate must live within a commutable distance of Coventry.
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Leamington Spa, Rugby, Birmingham, Warwick, Leicester
JOB DESCRIPTION: Technical Support Engineer – Electrical, Electronics
You will be an Electrical or Electronics Technical Support Engineer that understands software configuration and can assist our major customers solving technical issues. You will be handling technical queries via telephone and remote access with the major retailers and Financial Banks throughout the UK.
You will provide advanced technical support to our high street customers through investigation and resolution of more complex helpdesk issues with our technical products and Software. You will also project manage product installations and full scale roll outs into the major retailers.
Duties include:
· Participate in and lead Contract Review meetings, providing IT support and advice with regard to network infrastructure
· Support software upgrades on the our range of products
· Manage the support element of our website, ensuring content is up to date and our customers and distributors are notified of any new content in a timely and relevant manner.
· Flexibility around working hours will be required on occasions to provide support to overseas customers/distributors (predominantly USA at the moment) and to carry out software upgrades that cannot be undertaken during the normal working day.
· Project Management experience with strong attention to detail.
· Abilty to meet schedules but have the flexibility to switch tasks regularly through the working day.
· Understanding of Network Infrastructure & network configuration.
· Microsoft Azure Administrator certification as well as any other relevant Microsoft qualifications, Virtual Networking a distinct advantage.
· Power BI – Ability to create & amend existing reports.
· Good communication skills at all levels to deal with Customers, end users, contractors, engineers & be able to feedback technical information to R&D.
· Good understanding of Microsoft systems to assist with any conflicts/barriers that may arise during installations.
