Trainee Area Sales Executive

You will be representing a varied portfolio of products, some being the latest technology, to truly make a difference to challenges our customers face daily.

SALARY: £25,000 - £27,000

JOB SPECIFICATION: Trainee Area Sales Executive / Area Sales Executive / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager : Educational and Assistive Technology – to Local Authority, Education and charity markets.

You could be joining the UK sales team of this a global business, covering the Northwest of England.

You will manage a varied portfolio of assistive technology products. These products have one common solution; making a difference to those who live with blindness, may be partially sighted or who have learning difficulties.

The core part of your role will be to visit schools and colleges, local authorities and charity networks to demonstrate options for individual cases that aid our customers in their home or workplace.

This is not a heavily targeted sales environment, you will be able to manage your own diary and work from home.

It is essential you fully optimise the best solution for each individual – every sales process will be different, so you will need to demonstrate your ability to listen and offer consultation to parents, teachers and the end users.

REQUIREMENTS: Trainee Area Sales Executive / Area Sales Executive / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager : Educational and Assistive Technology – to Local Authority, Education and charity markets.

Our Trainee Area Sales Representatives require the following skills and experience:
· Previous experience of working in an external sales or field sales role, managing their own sales activities such as visits and future pipeline.
(Our client would also welcome applications from candidates looking for their next career move in sales – so if you have been successful in an internal sales role and looking to now be client facing, you will be considered.)
· Capable to adapt to different sales situations, telephone pitch, face to face and public sector panels.
· Confident with demonstrating technology in various environments.
· Strong interpersonal skills and keen to become an expert in this specialist field.
· Able to spot opportunities for the business and attend relevant exhibitions and networking events.
· Have excellent organisation skills and fully utilise the CRM system.
