THE OPPORTUNITY - Senior Electronics Design Engineer Working as part of our R&D team, this role is an exciting hands-on opportunity to make significant contributions to the design and development of the electronic systems for the organisation’s next generation metrology frames which combine roughness, roundness and form on a common platform. You will work within a multi-disciplined team through concept, build and test of specials/custom metrology systems. Once signed off, you will then oversee the transfer of the electrical/electronic aspects through to production and ultimately to installation through relevant training and documentation for the Service team. The position will expose the successful candidate to several full product life cycles per year both from an operational, commercial and technological perspective, all with a strong market pull. Candidates will be expected to work closely within a multi-discipline team and experience a broad range of skills from electrical safety, EMC, firmware, software, power electronics and control systems.
