Established for over 30 years and staging over 300 events per year with 250,000+ visitors, this venue caters for a wide variety of events from large exhibitions to smaller conferences and meetings.
The brief was open which enabled us to engage with the best talent available, and as this role was predominately internally based we were able to ensure that the candidate we selected met all the criteria including the ability and willingness to commute to the office.
The WH Solution
Having reviewed the job brief with all parties, it was agreed we should run an E-search campaign specifically targeting candidates who had sold either a service or intangible products at a senior level to multinational businesses’ or major brands. We posted the advert under 3 different job titles (the role had a new business element which the actual job title did not convey), on 7 different job boards (Monster, Total Jobs, Reed, Simply Sales, exec2exec, executives on the web and Telegraph Jobs), across a minimum on 4 major locations (Northampton, Birmingham, Coventry, Stafford).
- Outstanding response with around 250 applications.
- 7 candidates were interviewed by ourselves.
- Followed by the the Sales Director interviewing our chosen 4 and the Managing Director the final 2.
- The successful candidate had multiple offers which our client was aware of, however the candidate came to the decision that this role gave her everything she wanted in her next career move.
