Due to the impending retirement, our client required a Head of HR to be the professional lead in providing all strategic HR leadership and development across the organisation of 350+ Employees.
We were fortunate to have recruited for the CEO for the past 15 years (with his previous companies) so we knew the character fit required. However, what was key was to source an experienced, empathetic HR Specialist who could work at all levels within the organisation and help develop a talent management and succession programme to drive organic growth over the next 5 years
The WH Solution
Having reviewed the job brief with all parties, it was agreed we would run an eSearch campaign (A “blind” Internet based advertisement campaign) specifically targeting suitable candidates within a 60 mile radius of their manufacturing site. The position was advertised around the region on all of the UK’s top job sites.
From the 226 applications we received, 26 were sent the brief and an addendum requesting additional information to support their application. Having reviewed those, we interviewed 14, shortlisting 6 for first stage interviews. From those 6, 3 were taken back to final stage interview and one was offered and accepted the role.
