National Account Manager

Based from home (although living in a commutable distance to the Derby HO) and travelling the UK you will offer the finest cuts of meat to iconic restaurants, trendy brands and up and coming rising names.
 
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000

Hybrid role: Mixture of 2/3 days in the Derby office, working from home and visiting clients who are basedNationally

Job Specification: National Account Manager – Foodservice
 
You’ll truly look to partner with and become a trusted advisor to your clients, thus developing relationships with them, not only to identify and address specific needs to ensure long-term success. As the National Account Manager, you should be organised and able to analyse performance metrics and use category data to assist supporting key decisions.
 
Ultimately, you should be able to facilitate communication with customers and build long-term relationships to achieve business goals.
 
Key responsibilities: National Account Manager – Foodservice
 
· Assume full account management and responsibility for Five key national clients with a £20-25Million revenue.
· Your clients could range from over 100 locations through to 5 or 6 and be from casual dining, hotels, and contract caterers.
· Identify one or two prospective clients to target and approach.
· Manage product and price files and negotiate contracts and pricing with the support of Head of National Accounts.
· Become a trusted advisor, networking through a client across multiple decision makers (procurement, chefs, supply chain, operations, technical, forecasting)
· Engage with the product development teams to deliver a compelling customer specific proposition.
· Creating, negotiating, and then implanting JBP’s/KPI’s and SLA’s.
 
Requirements: National Account Manager – Foodservice
 
As detailed above, we are foodies, we need you to be a foodie too. Ideally you will have experience of working with a food or drink manufacturer, possibly even been a Chef or worked in a kitchen in your early career, either way you will understand how a kitchen works and how a menu is put together. If you currently sell to HORECA even better.
 
· A proven track record of developing and growing key accounts with multi-million £ spends.
· Understand the challenge of multiple location accounts (local, regional, head office) that all could use different brands.
· Tenacity and drive in approaching and engaging with clients.
· Have a persuasive, influencing manner getting others to ‘buy in’ to you.
· A background in selling at least one of the following, Food, Beverages, FMCG, Petfood, etc.
· Ideally, you’ll have worked with a product which has either limited stock availability or a short shelf life
