How a targeted eSearch campaign helped a growing healthcare manufacturer secure two strong hires from one recruitment project.
The Problem
The client had built a credible and trusted reputation with Key Opinion Leaders and leading Consultant Surgeons. However, attracting senior medical devices sales professionals was not straightforward. The salary and wider remuneration package were considered restrictive, making it harder to compete for established candidates already working within the medical devices sector.
The Solution / What We Did
Wallace Hind agreed a broader attraction strategy with the client. Rather than positioning the role for one narrow candidate profile, we advertised it to appeal to different levels of potential talent, including established medical sales professionals, experienced salespeople from other sectors, and graduate or entry-level candidates. We then ran a blind internet-based eSearch campaign to generate interest while protecting the client’s identity and broadening the available candidate pool.
The Results
- Over 200 applicants were vetted through the campaign.
- Four candidates were shortlisted for first interview with the client.
- Three candidates progressed to second interview, with one offer made and accepted.
- The strength of the shortlist led the client to create a second vacancy, which was also offered to a candidate from the original second-interview group.
