Coronavirus – what we’re doing at Wallace Hind to protect our staff and meet our client’s needs

As measures to reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) continue, urgent focus is being placed on employers to help protect the health and safety of staff and despite it being business as usual at Wallace Hind, we wanted to reassure our clients and candidates that we’re monitoring government updates and taking essential steps to protect all staff and visitors.

Steps we’re taking to protect our staff and visitors

  • Ensuring staff know how to spot symptoms of coronavirus and are clear on any relevant processes
  • Any staff that are potentially at risk  have already started working from home and anybody remotely showing symptoms are also following isolation guidelines.
  • Making sure there are clean places to wash hands with hot water and soap, and encouraging everyone to wash their hands regularly
  • Providing additional hand sanitiser and tissues for staff and visitors
  • Reducing travel to essential visits and meetings only
  • Equipping all staff with the tools and technology to work remotely if needed
  • Keeping everyone updated on the actions being taken to reduce risks of exposure in the workplace

Our clients and candidates

For our clients that have imposed a ban on non-essential travel and external meetings, or candidates who are concerned about attending interviews, we’re using a range of online communication tools which enable us to conduct video interviews and share essential files throughout the whole recruitment process which is helping alleviate potential delays. To find out more about these online tools or support to set these up within your company, feel free to call us on 01604 758857.

If these difficult times are creating additional workloads you hadn’t anticipated but you have a pressing recruitment need you don’t want to delay, you can register a vacancy directly on our website (with or without a job description). We’ll then be able to review the information and provide a bespoke proposal for you and/or a salary survey if needed. To register a job today visit www.wallacehind.com
