JOB DESCRIPTION: Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager – Joinery / Fenestration / Construction
As our Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager you’ll be home based covering the whole of Scotland. You’ll have access to approx. 1000 active accounts, and you’ll enjoy the support of our back-office team who’ll cover you with quote creation, marketing support and more. Order values are varied and are likely to range from £1,000 to the £10,000’s.
Your main responsibilities will be:
· 60% account management and up-sell, 40% new business development.
· Regular face to face customer meetings.
· Presenting and demonstrating products.
· Closing opportunities and building long-term repeat business.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager – Joinery / Fenestration / Construction
As our Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager you’ll have a proven track record of closing industrial type sales and developing long-term client accounts across Scotland.
In additional you will:
· Be an expert at planning your time to maximise your time in front of your customers
· Ideally bring previous experience of selling to the construction, fenestration, and /or joinery sectors
· Be used to working as part of a team, supporting others and building positive internal relationships
· Be competent with IT systems and CRM packages (we use NetSuite and full training will be given)
You may have owned your own joinery business or sold within the timber/PVC/Aluminium door/window sector. Above all you’ll bring the drive and self-motivation needed to build your (and our) reputation throughout your territory.
PROSPCTS:
We’re growing quickly. As you develop your territory, you’ll have the opportunity to hire additional headcount to maintain growth.
