How Wallace Hind delivered a targeted UK eSearch campaign to recruit a Key Account Manager for the Jaguar Land Rover account across the UK and Europe.
The Problem
The client required an experienced Key Account Manager with direct knowledge of managing Ford or Jaguar Land Rover accounts. The role demanded strong automotive sector experience, commercial credibility and the ability to operate independently in the UK while being supported by global manufacturing sites.
The recruitment process also involved international stakeholders, with the Global VP based in China and the head office in Germany. Wallace Hind needed to quickly understand the role, define the candidate requirements and manage a clear, transparent recruitment process across multiple decision-makers.
The Solution / What We Did
Wallace Hind had already recruited successfully within the wider group for another division and was recommended for this project by the UK HR Business Partner for the client’s sister company in Germany.
Following a detailed conference call with the key stakeholders, Wallace Hind agreed to run a UK-based eSearch campaign using a blind internet-based advertising approach. The campaign was promoted across the UK’s leading job advertising platforms, including Totaljobs, Reed, Monster, Jobsite, CV-Library and LinkedIn.
This gave the client access to a targeted pool of automotive sales and account management candidates while maintaining confidentiality throughout the search.
The Result
- 287 applications were received through the campaign.
- 15 candidates were shortlisted against the tight specification and asked to provide additional supporting evidence.
- 11 candidates were interviewed face to face by Wallace Hind before the strongest candidates were presented.
- 5 candidates were interviewed by the client, 3 progressed to final assessment, and 1 candidate was offered the role.
